Any hockey fan heading to Vancouver this winter can book a hotel room and Canucks tickets for every home game through Accent Inns from $159 a person, double occupancy. This includes a game ticket with hotel accommodations at Accent Inns' Richmond or Burnaby locations. From the Burnaby property, fans can hop on the SkyTrain to GM place, home of the Vancouver Canucks. Tickets are guaranteed side by side when ordered in pairs. Package prices vary according to the quality of the seat.

After 10 weeks riding a tandem bike from Penticton to St. John's for charity, Dave Cleveland and Stacey Butterfield flew back to Vancouver last weekend to complete the final leg of their journey. When they arrived at the airport, however, they found their bike's frame had been crushed during the flight - along with their dream of crossing Canada on a bicycle built for two.

Vancouver, union meet but bargaining still stalled

Officials from the city of Vancouver and its striking inside workers union met face-to-face Monday for the first time since Aug. 9.CUPE Local 15 chief negotiator Keith Graham called the meeting a positive step toward getting back to the bargaining table. However, city spokesman Jerry Dobrovolny said there will not be a return to the table until the union indicates a willingness to move on the six issues the city considers essential and will not compromise on. Those issues are listed on the city's website.
